7. Administration

Administration of the KVM switch can be done through three different interfaces; Local Console OSD, Web Interface and Remote OSD. The Web Interface and Remote OSD give you the most administrative access to the KVM, whereas the settings in the Local OSD are more limited. The table details which settings are available in each interface, and whether those settings are accessible to Administrators, ordinary Users or both. The rest of this chapter goes into these interfaces and their settings in more detail.
