Servicing the Hard Disk Drive

When removing or installing a hard disk drive, first turn the touchcomputer off and remove the power supply connection.

To Install Hard Disk Drive

1.Take off the back cover insert, and remove the four screws connecting the stand to the chassis. Once these screws are removed, the stand will come off. Then remove the screws on the chassis. If you have an existing hard drive, please pull on the metal handle. After pulling on this handle, the hard drive will easily slide out.

2.Grasp the handle of the new hard drive and slide the hard drive into the slot with the manufacturer,s label faced down and the connector facing the top of the touchcomputer. Slide the hard drive to the right until it stops. Then push the hard drive up into the SATA connector and make sure that it locks into place.

3.Secure the Hard Drive to the touchcomputer using 2 screws. Reinstall the screws to close the chassis.
