Installing ProjectionLink

Connecting CAT-5 Cable

The next step to configuring ProjectionLink is connecting the transmitter and receiver with a CAT-5 cable. Wiring for Projec- tionLink must be a CAT-5, four-pair, solid, plenum rated cable. Also make sure your cabling conforms to the TIA 568B stan- dard. Use the following illustration as a guide to attach your CAT-5 cable to a RJ45 connector:

CAT-5 Configuration

It is possible to connect the transmitter and receiver in lengths up to 300 feet. Use the following steps to connect the transmit- ter to the receiver:

1.Select the length of cable needed for the installation. Make sure to allow enough cable length for minor position adjustments.

2.Connect one end of the CAT-5 cable to the Projector con- nection on the transmitter.

3.Connect the other end of the CAT-5 cable to the corre- sponding connection on the receiver.
