Installation

Throw distance is the distance measured from the front of the projector to the screen.

Throw Distance

This is an important calculation in any projector installation as it determines whether or not

you have enough room to install your projector with a desired screen size and if your

image will be the right size for your screen.

You can quickly estimate the throw distance by taking the width of the screen and

multiplying it by the lens throw ratio; see Figure 3-2.The result of this calculation tells you

roughly how far back the projector should be positioned from the screen in order to

project a focused image large enough to fill the screen.

Estimating Throw Distance

Throw Distance (TD) = Screen Width (w) x Lens Throw Ratio

VX-2000d Throw Ratio: 1.84 to 2.47

VX-2000d/CineWide Throw Ratio: 1.90 to 2.47

Figure 3-2. Estimating Throw Distance

The VX-2000d offers a throw ratio of between 1.84 and 2.47. For example, with a 100-inch wide screen, the VX-2000d has a throw distance range of between 184 inches (4.67 meters) and 247 inches (6.27 meters).

The VX-2000d/CineWide offers a throw ratio of between 1.90 and 2.47. For example, with a 100-inch wide screen, the VX-2000d has a throw distance range of between 190 inches (4.83 meters) and 247 inches (6.27 meters).
