The ADAM-4570/ADAM-4571/EDG-4504 is a light- ning fast and cost effective data gateway between RS- 232/422/485 and Ethernet interfaces. This unit imme- diately upgrades your existing device(s) to the Ethernet world. Functionally transparent and efficient, the ADAM-4570/ADAM-4571/EDG-4504 is specially designed for remotely controlling and monitoring de- vices via the Internet.
The ADAM-4570/ADAM-4571/EDG-4504 provides one, two or four RS-232/485/422 serial ports that can each be easily configured for your needs. For increas- ing the reliability of systems, the ADAM-4570 also pro- vides three significant functions: Host idle, Device idle and Auto-reconnect. The ADAM-4570/ADAM-4571/ EDG-4504 also supports transmission speeds up to 230 Kbps, meeting the demand for today’s high-speed ex- change. Users can use a Windows utility to configure the ADAM-4570/ADAM-4571/EDG-4504 without need for further programming. The ADAM-4570/ ADAM-4571/EDG-4504 not only protects your cur- rent hardware investment but also ensures future net- work expandability. Since the protocol conversion is transparent, all existing devices can be seamlessly inte- grated into the Ethernet network.
