CONFIGURING AND TESTING THE NETWORK CARD

Send and Receive Test

This test verifies that the network cable is connected correctly, so that the network card can transmit and receive data.

The test requires two computers with the TigerCard 1000 network card installed. One computer generates and sends test messages, the other computer receives the test messages and transmits them back to the sender.

Note: You should run the Local Tests before running the Send and Receive Test to ensure that the card’s basic functions are working properly.

To run the test, on one computer be sure the configuration utility is running to enable it as the receiver. On the other computer, simply click on the “Run” button to start sending test messages. The progress of the test is shown by the “Server Activity” status bar. You can view the test results by clicking on the “View Test Results” button.
