Turning the Group Function on/off

When playing a group-edited MD with the Group Function turned on, group play is possible.

1.Insert a group-edited MD.

Only ASCII characters can be displayed in Tags.

Top function

The top function resets the CD/MD player to the first track of the disc. Press the [Band] button to play the first track (track No. 1) on the disc.

In case of MP3/WMA, the first track of a folder be- ing played will be returned.

Scan play

This function allows you to locate and play the first 10 seconds of all the tracks recorded on a disc.

Selecting a track

1. Press the [Scan] button to perform scan play.

Disc-In-Play function

As long as the ignition key is turned to the ON or ACC position, this function allows you to turn the power to the unit and start playing the disc auto- matically when the disc is inserted even if the power is not turned on.

Backup Eject function

Just pressing the [CD/MD Eject] button ejects the disc even if the power to the unit was not turned on.

1.Press the [CD/MD Eject]button. Remove the disc after it is ejected.

Track-up

1.Press the [D] button to move ahead to the beginning of the next track.

2.Each time you press the [D] button, the track advances ahead to the beginning of the next track.

Track-down

1.Press the [A] button to move back to the beginning of the current track.

2.Press the [A] button twice to move to the beginning of the previous track.

searching for a track in the MP3/WMA file)

Press and hold the [D] button for 1 second or longer.

Press and hold the [A] button for 1 second or longer.

Folder (Group) scan play

This function allows you to locate and play the first 10 seconds of the first track of all the folders (group) on an MP3/WMA/MD disc.

1. Press and hold the [Scan] button for about 1

second to folder (group) scan play.

1.Press the [Function] button to select the CD/ MP3 or MD mode.

When the unit enters the CD/MP3 or MD mode, play starts automatically.

If there is no disc loaded, the indication “NO DISC” appears in the title display.

The mode changes each time the [Function] button is pressed. (Modes are not displayed for equipment that is not connected.)

Displaying CD/MD titles

This unit can display title data for CD-text/MP3/ WMA disc and user titles input with this unit.

1.Press the [Display] button to display the title.

2.Each time you press and hold the [Display] button for 1 second or longer, the title dis- play changes in the following order:

CD-TEXT disc

User title (disc) CD-text title (disc) Artist name CD-text title (track) User title (disc)...

MP3/WMA disc

For MP3/WMA discs, it takes some time until the start of searching and between tracks. In addition, the playing time may have a margin of error.

Folder (Group) Select

Folder Select

This function allows you to select a folder con- taining MP3/WMA files and start playing from the first track in the folder.

Group Select

This function allows to select the group and start playing from the first track within the group when a group-edited MD is played. (When Group Function is on).
