Mouse

A Microsoft-compatible mouse with PS/2 connector can be attached to the Mouse port. The compatibility of the mouse must be checked before use. The mouse can be used in addition to the TouchScreen.

Note: It is recommended that you connect a PS/2 mouse to the mouse port during installation as the TouchScreen is not yet usable. This considerably simplifies the process of initial installation of the operating system. The mouse can be removed later without an error message.

Hard Disk

The hard disk is fitted to a mounting plate with vibration-damping rubber elements. A 3.5" Ultra-DMA hard disk with commonly available capacity (minimum of 20 GB) is provided.

Floppy Disk Drive

The floppy disk drive is fitted on the left of the operating console (viewed from the front) next to the Intelligence Panel ports.

CD-ROM Drive

The CD-ROM drive is on the left of the operating console (viewed from the front) under and next to the Intelligence Panel ports. The CD-ROM drive cannot be opened unless the Intelligence Panel is switched on. Pressing the Eject button activates a motor that opens the drawer. The drawer can be closed again by pushing the drawer gently or by pressing the Eject button.

Caution

To avoid damage to the drive, ensure that the motorized drawer is not obstructed as it opens. (See “Installation Procedures” in chapter 3.)
