DATA COMPRESSION
Data compression is a process where the effective throughput is increased by encoding data in such a way that fewer bits are required to represent it. Popular compression algorithms typically reduce the size of the data by half, effectively doubling the rate at which it is transmitted. And with
No configuration is required to enable the Netopia ISDN PC Card's compression functionality. Compression algorithms currently supported by the Netopia ISDN PC Card include LZS (STAC) and MPPC (Microsoft). If the system to which you are connecting supports one of these algorithms, it will automatically be used.
NETOPIA ISDN PC CARD LEDS
Some of the Netopia ISDN PC Card interface connectors have LED indicators that provide an instant status view. These indicators show the status of the connection to the remote device (B- channel) and the status of the link to the ISDN switch
