5 Management Software Guide

Installing the Software

Please follow the procedures below to install the management program into your Windows

1.Insert the ECOM CD into your computer, the Product CD menu should show up automatically. If not, on the File Explorer, please click on “setup.exe” to begin.

2.Click on “ETHER/SNMP Series” and select the “ECOM-ES24F2G”

3.Follow the instruction on screen to install the “WinPCap” and “The Remote Management Utility”

4.After you install Management Application on your computer, an application icon is placed on the desktop.

Starting the Software

1.To start Management Application, go to the desktop and double click on the icon. (Or select “Start->Program ->RMT->RMT” from the Start menu)

2.You can select one network adapter. The adapters are displayed in the combo box.

3.The program will search for all WinSmart switches on the network and display them. The utility can configure only one switch at a time, if you have more than one WinSmart switch, please choose one to configure by pull down the “Selected Switch Mac” field.

Note: If your switch doesn’t show up in the menu. Please reset the switch and press “update button”.
