Using a VPN Connection (Windows 2000)

After configuring the connection, follow these steps to establish a connection:

1.Double-click the icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder or click the shortcut on your desktop.

2.The Connect to window appears. (The name of your connection appears in the title bar.) Type the User name and Password. If using the domain option, type the Logon domain name.

The figure below shows the Connect To screen with (right) and without (left) the domain option.

NOTE: To avoid entering the password each time, you can save it by checking Save Password. The next time you establish this connection, both User name and Password are displayed automatically. (The password field is encrypted for security.) If you are using the domain option, the Logon domain will also be saved.
