About eSATA

eSATA, or external SATA, is a high performance interface that provides up to 6x faster transfer rates than USB 2.0 (up to 3 Gbits/sec). It was developed to extend the internal SATA interface to external devices. eSATA supports hot- swapping by design, however, this feature requires proper support and setup at the host, device (drive), and operating-system level. Connecting the SoloPRO through eSata is recommended for best drive performance and OS compatibility.

NOTE: The cable supplied with your system has been optimized for performance. Longer cables may not work or only work intermittantly.
