4.Disconnect the FlexBay USB cable and the power cable from the back of the Media Card Reader and from the internal USB connector (F_USB4) on the system board (see System Board Components).

5.Remove the two screws securing the Media Card Reader.

6.Slide the Media Card Reader out through the front of the computer.

7.If you are not reinstalling the Media Card Reader, replace the drive panel insert. See Replacing the Drive Panel Insert.

8.If you are installing a new Media Card Reader:

a.Remove the drive panel insert (see Replacing the Drive Panel Insert).

b.Remove the Media Card Reader from its packaging.

9.Gently slide the Media Card Reader into place in the FlexBay slot.

10.Align the screw holes in the Media Card Reader with the screw holes in the FlexBay.

11.Tighten the two screws to secure the Media Card Reader.

NOTE: Ensure that the Media Card Reader is installed before the FlexBay cable is connected.

12.Connect the FlexBay USB cable to the back of the Media Card Reader and to the internal USB connector (F_USB4) on the system board (see System Board Components).

13.Replace the front panel(see Replacing the Front Panel).

14.Replace the computer cover (see Replacing the Computer Cover).

15.Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and then turn them on.
