Removing the Keyboard

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove:

a)battery

b)base cover

c)keyboard trim

3.Remove the screws and lift the battery bay of the computer.

4.Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:

a)Lift the keyboard-backlight cable latch [1].

b)Remove the cable from the system board [2].

c)Lift the trackstick cable latch [3].

d)Remove the cable from the system board [4].

e)Lift the keyboard cable latch [5].

f)Remove the cable from the system board [6].

g)Lift the touchpad cable latch [7].

h)Remove the cable from the system board [8].
