A prerequisite for using this manual to service Dell portable computers is a basic knowledge of IBM-compatible PCs and prior training in IBM-compatible PC troubleshooting techniques. In addition to information provided in this manual, Dell provides the Reference and Troubleshooting Guide for trouble- shooting procedures and instructions on using the Dell diagnostics to test portable computers, and the online System User’s Guide for information about system setup and operations.
