4.In the Name field, type a map name for the device.

5.In the SNMP Community Names section, type a Community Name for GET and a Community Name for SET. (The default values are “public” for Get operations and “private” for Set operations.)

6.Use the Notepad field to note additional comments about the device.

7.The Interfaces list defines all IP interfaces available to the device for communication with the network. The first interface on the list receives the highest priority for establishing communication. If communication cannot be established through that interface, the next interface is tried. You enter interface specifications in the Define Interface Window.

8.To define new interfaces choose Add in the Describe window. You may also modify the existing interface. To do this, select it and press Modify button or double-click on the interface line. The Define Interface Window opens.
