The Microsoft TCP/IP Properties screen appears.
12From the Adapter box, select 3Com EtherLink III 3C509 ISA Adapter, select a method of assigning the TCP/IP address, and then click OK.
Messages are displayed, and you are prompted to reboot Windows NT.
13Click Yes.
The NIC is installed and configured. The next step is to install the remaining NICs.
Installing Subsequent NICs
Follow this procedure to install the remaining NICs, one at a time, after you install and configure the first NIC:
1Perform steps 1 through 5 of the preceding procedure. The Windows setup program displays a message warning that a network card of this type is already installed.
2Click OK.
The 3Com EtherLink III (3c509) ISA Adapter Bus screen appears. A message warns you to use the Network window to install multiple NICs.
3Click OK.
Files are copied, and the Network screen reappears.
4Ensure that 3Com EtherLink III 3C509B ISA is selected, and then click Properties.
The 3Com EtherLink III Adapter Card Setup dialog box appears, showing the assigned I/O port address value.
5Set the I/O port address to a nonconflicting value, and then click OK.
The 3Com EtherLink III (3C509) ISA Adapter Bus screen appears again.
6Click OK.
The setup program displays a warning message.
7Click OK, and then click Close.
Files are copied, and then the Microsoft TCP/IP Properties screen appears.
