^RT

Read Tag command.

x

The field number to which the data will

be assigned. The default is 0, and other

acceptable values range from 1 to 9999.

startblock

Location where data will be read from the

RFID tag. The PPI1 only supports Alien

Technology Class 1a tag, which has only

one 8–byte block. Therefore, startblock

will be set to 0, regardless of the

specified value.

length

The number of blocks to be read from the

RFID tag. The PPI1 only supports Alien

Technology Class 1a tags, which have

only one 8–byte block. Therefore, length

will be set to 1, regardless of the

specified value.

hexformat

This flag indicates whether the data, after

being read from the RFID tag, should be

translated into hexadecimal format. The

default is 0, meaning the data will not be

translated. The other acceptable value is

1, meaning the data will be translated

into hexadecimal format.

retriescount

The number of automatic attempts to

read data from the tag if previous reads

failed. The PPI1 absorbs the number and

uses the value on the operator panel.
