Configuring the 2825

Internet Configuration

To define how the 2825 is configured to the Internet, use the Configuration->Internet menu.

1.Connect to the 2825 by following the instructions in "Configuring the Ruckus Wireless 2825 Wireless Multimedia Router" on page 16.

2.Choose Configuration->Internet. The window of Figure 10 appears.

Table 9 shows the Internet Configuration Parameters.

Field

Gateway

This is the gateway IP address of the internet interface.

 

 

Primary DNS

This is the primary Domain Name System (DNS) server IP address.

Server

 

 

 

Secondary DNS

This is the secondary Domain Name System (DNS) server IP address.

Server

 

 

 

Connection Type

This indicates the connection type of the Internet interface to be configured. The

 

options of connection type are Static IP, DHCP or PPPoE. Typically for cable modem

 

access, DHCP is used. For DSL access, PPPoE is used. You must get the PPPoE

 

username and password from your ISP.

 

 

Configuring the Wireless Interface

Before changing any settings in the Wireless configuration menu, make sure you have recorded and verified the information in the following worksheets:

"Wireless Network Settings Worksheet—Home User" on page 22

"2825 Default and User Settings Worksheet" on page 23.
