STEP 9: Set up Remote Networking

1.Windows 2000 — Go to My Computer Control Panel Network and Dial-up Connections Make New Connection.

Windows XP — Go to Start Control Panel Network Connections Create a new connection.

2.A connection wizard will appear. Click Next>.

3.Follow the wizard to set up a new network connection, making the following selections as prompted:

a. Windows 2000 —

Network Connection Type: Select Dial-up to the Internet

Select a Device: Select the 19200 bps modem in the COM port where you inserted the DPC.
