About PhoenixCard ManagerTM for Windows® 95

CAUTION

If a ZV card does not operate properly, install PhoenixCard ManagerTM for Win- dows® 95 by following the procedure below, after uninstalling the driver or the appli- cation software for the card.

Otherwise, do not perform the installation; abnormal operation may result.

Installing (only if the ZV card does not operate properly)

1Set [Sound Controller] to [Automatic (PnP)] in the Setup Utility.

2Select [Start] - [Run].

3Type [c:\util\drivers\pccard\setup.exe], press [OK], then follow the on-screen in- structions.

CAUTION

After PhoenixCard ManagerTM for Windows® 95 has been installed, make sure to power off the computer before installing or removing the card. Also, do not use the suspend or hibernation functions if the card is installed.

NOTE

When running the power conservation function with the sound chip set, there may be no sound output. In this case, the following setting needs to be made.

In [Control Panel] - [Power] - [OPL3-SAx power management], set [Non Power

Save mode] then press [Apply]. Then press [OK]. ( page 41)

Uninstalling

When you decide not to use the ZV card, be sure to perform the uninstall proce- dure.

1Uninstall PhoenixCard ManagerTM for Windows® 95 in [Start] - [Settings] - [Con- trol Panel] - [Add/Remove Programs].

2Restart the computer.

3Select [PC Card (PCMCIA)] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel].

4Press [Next] at the display for the [Display DriverWizard for PC Cards (PCMCIA)], press [Next] again and then press [Finish].

5Shut down the computer by following the on-screen instructions.
