2.3 Module Installation

2.3 Module Installation

Install the module according to the following procedure:

(1)Match the guides at top and bottom of the base and insert the module vertically on the base. Check that the top and bottom lock levers are fasten to the base and click.

(2)Pass an M3 screw through the hole at the top of the module and secure the base and the module (recommended torque: 1.47N•m=15kgf•cm).

Remove the module according to following procedure:

(1)Turn off the power supplied to the model 2000. Turn off the external power to the I/O module.

(2)Detach cables from the module.

(3)Remove the screw at the top of the module.

(4)Push the lock lever at the top of the module, hold the bottom of the module with the other hand, and pull the entire module vertically from the base to remove the module.

CAUTION

Tighten the screws securely so that they do not become loose with vibration. They can cause injuries if they become loose and fall off.

Always turn off the power before removing/installing the module.

Removing or installing the module with the power on can cause malfunction or operation errors.

The device will not operate normally if installed where there is no station bus connecter.

Do not touch the C2 module when the power is on. The heat radiating side covers become extremely hot (ambient temperature+25oC) when power is on. It cools (ambient temperature+10oC) in 10 minutes when the power is turned off.
