4Align the pin-1 corner of the processor with the pin-1 corner of the processor socket, and then place the processor in the processor socket.

Set the processor lightly in the socket and ensure that the processor is positioned correctly.

5When the processor is fully seated in the socket, close the processor cover.

6Pivot the release lever down and place it under the securing tab on the processor cover.

CAUTION: Ensure that the processor cover notch is positioned underneath the alignment post.
