ADSL Modem

URL Blocking

This screen allows the user to block access to certain web sites from a particular PC by entering either a full URL address or just a keyword of the web site. If you want to remove all the URLs and Keywords from the list, click the Clear All button.

When finished making your changes on this tab, click the Save Settings button to save these changes, or click the Cancel Changes button to undo your changes.

Intrusion Detection

This screen allows common hacker attacks to be blocked. All of these types of intrusions are blocked by default. If you want to allow the traffic for a service through, check the box for the desired service.

Intrusion Detection Features include RIP defect and Discard Ping to WAN.

Stateful Packet Inspection features include SPI and Anti-DoS firewall protection, Packet Fragmentation, TCP Connection, UDP Session, FTP Service, H.323 Service, and TFTP Service.

Alert

Your E-mail Address. Enter the e-mail address that will receive alert logs in the field.

SMTP Server Address. Enter the IP address of the SMTP server in the field.

SMTP User Name. Enter the user name used to login to the SMTP server.

SMTP Password. Enter the password used to login to the SMTP server.

VPN

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) is a security measure that creates a secure connection between two remote locations. The VPN screen allows you to configure your VPN settings to make your network more secure. Use the settings on this tab to allow VPN tunnels using IPSec, L2TP, or PPTP protocols to pass through the Modem’s firewall.
