How to Set Up and Test Basic VoIP

Note: Be sure your VoIP service provider has enabled your service before configuring your DG834GV for VoIP. Also, be sure to have the instructions from your VoIP

service provider available when you configure your DG834GV for VoIP.

Follow the instructions below to set up and test basic VoIP connectivity.

1.Log in to the ADSL modem wireless router with voice at its default LAN address of http:// 192.168.0.1 with its default user name of admin and default password of password, or using whatever LAN address and password you have set up.

2.Click the VoIP Setup Wizard link in the main menu of the ADSL modem wireless router with voice. Put in the configuration settings that your VoIP service provider gave you.

3.Connect a telephone to the DG834GV and verify that VoIP is enabled.

Note: Your DG834GV lets you connect a phone line that enables phone service through the telephone set connected to the DG834GV to still function in the event of a

power failure. Be sure to take advantage of this feature.
