You can use the LEDs to verify various conditions. Table 1-1describes each LED.

On (Green)

Power is supplied to the router.

Power

On (Red)

Power-on Self-test failure or device malfunction.

 

 

Off

Power is not supplied to the router.

 

 

On (Amber)

System is not ready or failed to start up.

2.

Test

Blink (Amber)

The system is initializing.

 

 

Off

The system is ready and running.

 

 

On (Green)

ADSL is synchronized.

3.

ADSL

Blink (Green)

DSL is attempting to synchronize.

 

 

Off

No link is detected on this port or modem is not powered on.

 

 

On (Green)

Internet port is connected, has an IP address, DSL is up, no traffic detected.

4.

Internet

Flicker (Green)

Traffic is passing through the connected internet port in either direction.

Red

Device attempted to connect, but failed.

 

 

 

 

Off

Modem powered off or in bridged mode, or ADSL connection not present.
