on, the scanner checks that channel every 2 seconds, and stays on the channel if there is activity until the activity stops.

Notes The priority feature does not operate while the scanner receives a trunking voice channel or during trunking

delay time. Therefore, the priority check seems random during peak hours.

If you program a weather channel as the priority channel, the scanner stays in the priority channel only when the scanner detects the weather alert tone.

This scanner cannot set a channel as the priority channel if the channel’s receive mode is MOT, ED, or LTR.

If you press PSE while the scanner receives the priority channel, the scanner displays *** PAUSED *** and stays on the priority channel even after the transmission finished.

To program a frequency in the priority channel:

1.Press MAN.

2.Use the number keys to enter the channel number which contains the frequency you want to program as the priority channel. Then press MAN again.

3.Press FUNC then PRI. The display blinks.

To program the priority channel directly:

1.Press PGM.

2.Press PRI.

3.Enter the frequency you want to enter into the priority channel, then press ENT.

To program a weather channel as the priority channel:
