Registering Your Computer

You can take advantage of Sony’s commitment to quality customer support and receive the following benefits by registering your computer with Sony:

Extended Limited Warranty – Protect your investment. Extend your Warranty nine months for a total of 12 months from the original date of purchase when you register your computer.

Express service – Provides a fast and direct return of your VAIO Notebook to Sony for service of your computer.*

If you have not already registered, follow these steps to use your computer’s online registration service. You may also sign up for Internet access with a Sony-preferred Internet Service Provider.

You must connect a phone line (not supplied) before using any online services, including the online registration service. See “Connecting a Phone Line” on page 44.

1Click the Registration icon on the VAIO desktop.

2Enter the information requested on the first online registration form. Press the Tab key to move from box to box.

3Click the Next button to advance to the next form.

4Complete the remaining forms by clicking the Next button each time you complete a form.

The computer automatically transfers your registration information using your built-in modem and a toll-free telephone number.
