AM/FM radio controls and station finder

Selecting AM/FM radio (Figure 33) allows you to listen to your local AM/FM broadcast sta- tions using the tuner in the Wave/PCunit. To find a radio station, click the AM or FM button and a list of your local radio stations is displayed in the station finder. These stations were downloaded during installation according to the ZIP code you entered. In the far left-hand column of the station finder window, an indicator is displayed next to the strong stations.

Note: FM radio reception is improved by installing the supplied FM dipole antenna. See “Connecting the external FM antenna” on page 12. If you are not using the FM dipole, the power cord serves as an antenna. Straighten the cord as much as possible for best reception.

Playing a radio station

There are five ways to tune to a radio station:

Double-click the station name in the station finder.

Select the station and click the Play Selection button.

Click a preset button. To set AM/FM radio presets, see “Setting presets to play AM/FM radio stations” on page 42.

Using the tune backward/forward buttons, tune the radio frequency to the station.

Using the seek previous/next buttons, scan through the band until you find the station.
