S

Station ﬁnder – A Wave/PC™ software feature that allows you to ﬁnd an AM/FM broadcast radio station in the database.

Streaming – A name given to the media that allows you to play audio or video directly from the Internet, without ﬁrst saving it to your hard drive. Its main advantage is that you can start listening to your selections right away, without having to wait for a ﬁle to ﬁnish downloading. Two popular streaming formats are Real Audio and SHOUTcast.

URL – Uniform Resource Locator. The complete address which tells your browser where to look for information.

W

Web radio – Broadcast radio programs available through the world wide web.

Web station ﬁnder – A Wave/PC software feature that allows you to ﬁnd a Web Radio station in the database.
