Before Installing the Driver

Before installing the driver, make sure that Windows NT is installed and that the following procedures have been completed:

■The 3C319 NIC has been installed as described in Chapter 2.

■Plug and Play (PnP) has been manually disabled as described in Chapter 5, “Configuring the NIC Manually.”

Windows NT versions 3.51 and 4.0 are not PnP-enabled.

■The NIC has been manually configured as described in Chapter 5, “Configuring the NIC Manually.”

If your network environment uses the TCP/IP communications protocol, you must obtain from your network administrator all the information you will need to define an IP address during the installation process.

Installing the NDIS 4 Driver for Windows NT

This section describes installing the 3C319 NIC NDIS 4 driver for the following Microsoft Windows NT versions:

■Windows NT 3.51

■Windows NT 4.0

Windows NT 3.51

Follow these steps to install the NDIS 4 driver for

Windows NT 3.51:

1Insert TokenDisk diskette #2 in the floppy drive.

2In the Main group, double-click the Control Panel icon.

3In the Control Panel group, double-click the Network icon.

4In the Network Settings dialog box, click Add Adapter.
