2STANDBY indicator (16)

Lights when the power cord is connected and the unit is on standby. When the unit is turned on, the STANDBY indicator goes off.

3DVD AUDIO indicator

Lights when a DVD Audio disc is loaded.

4Display window

Indicates the current status of the unit.

5DIGITAL DIRECT PROGRESSIVE indicator (42) Lights when playing back a film-source DVD Video disc with the unit's progressive mode set to “SMART”, “FILM” or “AUTO” and the SCAN MODE selector set to “525p”.

98 (PAUSE) button (20, 27, 28) Pauses playback.

Also, holding down this button displays nine continuous still pictures (STROBE function).

07 (STOP) button (20, 30) Stops playback.

Also used to erase all the programmed tracks for the program play.

-0 (OPEN/CLOSE) button (19) Used to open and close the disc tray.

=Disc tray (19) Used to load a disc.

6 Sampling frequency indicators

Indicates the sampling frequency currently played back.

~ Remote sensor

 

Receives the signal from the remote control unit.

74/¢(SKIP) buttons (20, 21, 24)

Pressing the button during playback skips a chapter, title or track.

Holding down the button during playback advances or reverses playback rapidly.

Also used for the page selection of a menu screen for PBC of Video CDs.

!DISPLAY OFF button and indicator

The button turns the display window on or off. When the display window is off, the indicator lights.
