How to use the main menu

This VCR can easily be programmed by using the menus displayed on screen.

The menus are controlled from the Remote Control Handset.

1 Turn on your TV set and video recorder by pressing the POWER button.

2The main menu will appear on the TV screen.Press i button.

TIME DATE - Date & clock setting (see p. 13).

OSYSTEM - To set the Colour TV System (see p. 13).

ODr. - To check a problem with your VCR

(see p. 29).

OF.OSD ON/OFF - To display the operational

mode of your VCR (see p. 29).

O16:9/4:3 - To select the aspect ratio of your TV (see p.30).

OOPR - To improve the playback picture

(see p. 21).

ONIC - To activate or deactivate the NICAM digital

 

sound (

see p. 30 ).

Tuning in TV Stations Automatically

The guidance given on page 12 is for first time use of your VCR.

Should you wish to perform theAutomatic Channel Memory System (ACMS) again please follow the

guidance given on this page. You may tune up to 88 TV stations into your VCR.

1If you have a satellite receiver make sure that it is

connected to your VCR, switched on and Sky News has been selected.Press POWER to turn on your VCR.

2The main menu will appear on the TV screen.Press i.

Programme Delivery

Control (PDC) signal which enables your VCR to successfully identify and store them. If your VCR

has difficulty in identifying a TV station please turn the page to find out how to manually tune in and name a TV station.

While automatic tuning is taking place the time and date will set automatically.

If - - :- - appears in the VCR display it means that the broadcast signal is weak and the clock was not

set. Please turn to CLOCK SET section of this book on page 13.
