ON-SCREEN DISPLAY MENU SETUP MENU

Auto Link

Use this function to automatically switch on the TV and switch it to AV1 or AV5 mode when it detects a video signal from INPUT1 (or Y signal or HDMI INPUT interface) or INPUT5 (or S-VIDEO signal) terminal of the TV. It provides you ease when using with your external equipment. (The C43-FL9000 model does not have HDMI INPUT interface.)

Connect external equipment to INPUT1 or INPUT5 terminal of the TV. Refer to CONNECTION WITH OTHER EQUIPMENT on page 48-51 for more information.

Follow the steps on page 23 to enter the Setup menu and select the Auto Link option. Enter the Auto Link menu as shown below. Press the Ÿź cursor buttons to select AV1 or AV5. Then press the ŻŹ cursor buttons to set AV1 or AV5 to On, Auto Link function for the respective inputs will be activated.

(1)If you switch on the power of the external equipment connected to INPUT1 or INPUT5 terminal of the TV

when its power is on, and there is an output signal from these external equipment, Auto Link function will automatically switch the TV from the TV channel or any other AV modes to AV1 or AV5 mode accordingly.



(2)If you switch on the power of the external equipment connected to INPUT1 or INPUT5 terminal of the TV when it is at standby mode, and there is an output signal from these external equipment. Auto Link function will automatically switch on the TV and switch to AV1 or AV5 automatically. The set will turn to standby mode automatically from the time when there is no operation on the set for a long time.

Note:

When the HDMI INPUT interface has been connected and the TV is in standby. If you switch on the power of the HDMI equipment, the TV keep in standby. (The C43-FL9000 model does not have HDMI INPUT interface.)

Remarks

1If the performance of your external equipment connected to AV1 or AV5 on the TV is not reliable, it is

recommended to turn off the Auto Link function to avoid the misoperation.

2If you use your external equipment or the video cassette recorder to perform recording after they are set to On Timer, do not activate Auto Link function to avoid the misoperation.

Speaker

Follow the steps on page 23 to enter the Setup menu, then select the Speaker option as shown on the right.

Press the ŻŹ cursor buttons to set the Speaker option On or Off to turn on or off the speakers of the TV.

Note: When the external stereo system is connected to the FIXED/VARIABLE AUDIO output terminals of the TV, you can set the Speaker option to Off to turn off the speakers of the TV.
