5Playing Discs

Using the Repeat Play

You can set the player to repeat individual tracks on CDs or Video CDs, Super Audio CDs, chapters or titles on DVD discs, or the whole disc. It's also possible to loop a section of a disc.

You can’t use any repeat mode or looped play with a Video CD playing in PBC mode.

Note

Some discs don’t allow the Repeat function.

1 Press REPEAT during playback to select a repeat mode.

Each press switches the repeat mode:

CHAPTER REPEAT

TITLE REPEAT

OFF

REPEAT ONE

REPEAT ALL

REPEAT OFF

DISC (default)

FOLDER

SINGLE REPEAT

FOLDER REPEAT

DISC REPEAT

Note

Folder

The current folder will be played once.

Disc

The disc will be played once.

2 To return to normal play, press REPEAT again, then select off.

Looping a section of a disc

1Press A-B once at the start of the section you want to repeat, then again at the end.

Playback immediately jumps back to the start point and plays the loop round and round.

On a DVD disc, the start and end points of the loop must be in the same title/group.

On Video CD/CD/Super Audio CD, the start and end points of the loop must be in the same track.

2To resume normal playback, press A-B again. Note

There may be a slightly difference between point A and the location where playback actually resumes depend on the disc.
