Selecting the function settings

The FUNCTION menu lets you change the video and operational settings of the 586 DVD Player:

Note that the REMOTE CONFIRM option has no effect in the 586 DVD Player.

To select the black level

●Highlight BLACK LEVEL in the FUNCTION menu, and press

ENTER.

The BLACK LEVEL menu is displayed:

●Press < or > to choose between NORMAL, to give a standard black level, or ENHANCED, to give an expanded black level.

If you are using the COMPOSITE or S video outputs of the DVD player select the NORMAL option.

If you are using the COMPONENT video outputs select the option that corresponds to the combination of your display.
