Using the SD memory card in a Macintosh

The accessory PC card adapter can be used to insert the SD memory card into a Macintosh with a built-in PC (PCMCIA) card slot which is either Type II or Type III compatible.You can then save images from the Macintosh onto the SD memory card and edit these images.

Inserting the SD memory card

#Insert the SD memory card into the PC card adapter as shown in the illustration

at right.

Push the card in until it locks into place.

Make sure that it is facing the correct way.

BIf the SD memory card is inserted into a Macintosh using the PC card adapter while the write-protect switch is at the LOCK position, it will take a long time (a few minutes depending on the case) for the Macintosh to recognise the card, and an error message may appear. If this happens, take the SD memory card out of the Macintosh by following the steps on page 18, and change the position of the write-protect switch so that it is not at the LOCK position.
