If the pin query mode has been set to Once or Always and the PIN has not yet been chan- ged, you will be asked to change the PIN. Proceed as described in Section 8.3.2.
Always
The main menu, the locked programmes as well as the locked hard disk recordings are always locked in the setting Always.
Once
In the setting Once, the PIN must only be entered once to call the main menu, the locked pro- grammes and the locked hard disk recordings during one operating phase.
Off
The parental control function is not active, when the setting is on Off.
8.3.2 Changing the device pin
The device PIN code was set to 0000 in the factory. To modify the device PIN code proceed as follows:
>Use the up/down arrow keys to select the change Device PIN line and then press OK to confirm.
>First use the numeric keyboard to enter the currently valid device
>Enter the new device PIN code by means of the numeric keyboard. The marking now jumps to the repeat New PIN line.
>Use the numeric keyboard to enter the new PIN code again, to confirm it.
>Acknowledge the final note with OK.
Note!
Ensure that you never forget the device PIN code. If this is the case however, please ask your specialised dealer for help!
8.3.3 Selecting TV stations / Radio stations
>Select the Select TV station or Select radio station line with the up/down arrow keys.
>Acknowledge with OK.
A window is now displayed to select the TV programmes or radio programmes. The favourites list is displayed in the right half of the picture. The currently set programme is marked in the favourites list. The alphabetically sorted provider list is displayed on the left side of the screen.
>Now use the arrow keys to select the programme you want to block.
>Pressing the yellow control key blocks the programme.
The child protection symbol is displayed next to the selected programme.
>Proceed as described above to unlock programmes by highlighting the appropriate pro- gramme and removing the child lock by pressing the yellow control key.
Selecting blocks
In order to select several programmes at the same time proceed as follows:
>Press the OK key to jump to select mode. The selected programme is highlighted in blue.
>Use the arrow keys to additionally select the following/previous programmes.
