To record a program at the same time each Monday through Friday (DAILY), repeatedly press or press and hold SEL or SEL until DAILY flashes on the TV screen above MON-FRI.

To record a program at the same time each week (WEEKLY), repeatedly press or press

and hold SEL or SEL until WEEKLY flashes on the TV screen and the desired day of the week appears below WEEKLY.

3.Press SET to enter your selection. The start time’s hour and A (for AM) or P (for PM) flash on the TV screen.

4.Repeatedly press (or press and hold) SEL

or SEL to select the start hour. When the correct hour appears, press SET. The start time’s minute flashes on the TV screen.

5.Repeatedly press (or press and hold) SEL

or SEL to select the start minute. When the correct minute appears, press SET. The stop time’s hour and A (for AM) or P (for PM) flash on the TV screen.

6.Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to set the stop time (hour and minute). The channel number flashes on the TV screen.

7.Repeatedly press SEL or SEL to select the channel you want to record, then press SET. The tape speed (SP, LP, or SLP) flashes on the TV screen below the chan- nel.

8. Repeatedly press SEL

or SEL

to

select the tape speed (SP, LP, or SLP),

then press SET. SET

COMPLETED

appears on the TV screen.

 

 

9.Double-check all the set information.

If it is correct, press PROG.

If an entry is not correct, repeatedly press SET or CLEAR to move to the incorrect entry, enter the correct informa- tion, then press PROG.

If all entries in the program are correct, PROGRAM COMPLETED appears on the screen for a few seconds. Then the SET PROGRAM MENU screen appears with your programming.

If all entries in the program are not correct, PROGRAM IS INCOMPLETE appears on the screen. Check and correct your pro- gramming, then press PROG again.

10.To enter more programs, repeatedly press SEL or SEL to select another program number and repeat Steps 2–9.

11.Press PROG to exit the program mode. The PROGRAM TIMER indicator lights on the front panel.

You can turn on and operate the TV/VCR nor- mally prior to the set times. Two minutes before the timer recording starts, TIMER REC WILL START SOON appears on the screen if a tape is loaded in the TV/VCR, or PLEASE PRE- PARE FOR TIMER REC appears on the screen if a tape is not loaded in the TV/VCR. Make sure a tape is loaded and turn off the TV/ VCR.

Notes:

During timer recording, the TV/VCR does not turn on. You must press POWER to watch TV while timer recording is in progress.

If the ON TIMER or PROGRAM indicator flashes, check that a cassette is inserted and the TV/VCR is turned off.
