Chapter 4 —The Learning Function

Using the learning function

To teach the codes from your remote, set both remotes on a flat surface facing each other. Be sure to point your device’s remote control at the SUR-20’s learning eye, which is located at the bottom of the unit. Do not use the other eye located at the top of the SUR-20. You do not have to turn on the actual device (TV, VCR etc…). Refer to the following illustration:
