Chapter 1: Product Introduction

1.1Summary

The QSC26404 network digital video recorder is an excellent digital surveillance product. It uses embedded MCU and Linux, combining the most advanced technology in the Information Industry such as video and audio encoding/decoding, hard disk recording and TCP/IP. The firmware is burned into flash memory, which is more stable and reliable.

The QSC26404 has both the features of a digital video recorder (DVR) and a digital video server (DVS). It can work as stand alone, or be used to build a powerful surveillance network, widely used in banking, telecommunications, transportation, factories, warehouses, irrigation, etc.

1.2Features

Compression

H.264 video compression algorithm and each channel can be real time (PAL is 25FPS and NTSC is 30FPS).

Supports multi-zone motion detection. Supports mask function to mask sensitive areas.

Supports view tampering alarm function for spiteful camera block. Supports video signal loss alarm function.

Supports position configurable OSD&LOGO. Supports both constant bit rate and variable frame rate.

Supports dual-stream and the sub stream can support CIF/QCIF compression resolutions.

Storage Functions:

1 IDE interface for 1 HDD that can support up to 2000GB maximum. Supports HDD S.M.A.R.T function.

Supports FAT32 file system.

Supports many recording modes: manual recording, motion detect recording, external alarm recording, motion & alarm recording, motion alarm recording.

Supports cycle and non-cycle record mode.

Supports USB flash drive, USB hard disk and USB DVD/CD-RW for backup.
