5.3: Menu Lock

Your DVR is equipped with a Menu Lock feature to ensure that your settings and configurations are tamper-proof. Right clicking on your mouse and clicking on [Menu] the [Lock] from the popup menu will lock your DVR and you will be required to enter a password to unlock this feature as illustrated in Picture 66). Please note that only the System Administrator has full access and authority over Main Menu operations.

5.4: Video Search

Right clicking on your mouse and clicking on the Video Search option from your pop-up menu will allow you to search through your recorded files and playback recordings. For more information on searching through files, refer to Section 5.24.

5.5: PTZ Control

As dicussed in Section 5.2.7.3, you have the ability to connect a PTZ camera to your DVR system. To operate the PTZ camera once you have connected it to your system and configured it correctly following the directions in 5.2.7.3, you will need to access the PTZ Camera interface illustrated in Picture 67. To do this, right click on your mouse and click on the PTZ option from your pop-up menu. From the PTZ Camera interface, you can Zoom in and out, adjust the camera Focus and increase or decrease the brightness of your image. Click Z+&Z- keys to zoom In or out, click F+&F- keys to control camera focus and click I+&I- to adjust the brightness.

Cruise Setup

Open the auto cruise function on the PTZ setting menu to configure your auto cruise settings as illustrated in Picture 68. The functions associated with each of the buttons on the Cruise Setup interface are as follows:

Channel Select: Allows you select the channel with the PTZ camera.

Total: Allows you to set the bit quantity.

Preset: Saves the preset point. After setting channel and setting the position by adjusting PTZ direction key you click [Set] button to setup the pre-set point. Please note that you have to click the [Save] button for the set up to be complete.

Cur Point: System has default starting (current) cruise point as 01. You can use this option to set additional cruise points.

Stop Time: Sets the pause time at each stop.

GOTOAllows you to go to specific preset points.

Clean: Removes changes you made to the settings.

Note: this DVR model supports up to 100 pre-set points but you may be limited to the number of pre-set points your PTZ camera allows.
