Welcome to your TV/VCR owner’s manual.

This manual describes two models: CC13B1MG and CC19B1MG. Although the models may have a differ- ent appearance, both models operate exactly the same. The features described in this manual apply to both models unless otherwise specified. The CC13B1MG is illustrated in this manual, but the CC19B1MG has a similar appearance.

This manual has seven sections: Setting Up Your TV/VCR; Description of Controls; Basic Operations; Recording Options; Playing Options; Additional Features; and Information You May Need. The instructions explain all of the TV/VCR’s features, which are listed below.

Philips Consumer Electronics recommends that you use only

video cassette tapes that are labeled with the mark. The use of other tapes may result in poor picture quality and excessive deposits on the video heads, which may not be covered by the warranty if damage occurs.

Note to the Cable TV System Installer: This reminder is provided to call the Cable TV system installer’s attention to Article 820-40 of the National Electrical Code, which provides guidelines for proper grounding – in particular, specifying that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as possible.
