Changing Settings

Place the disc on the disc table and press the MENU button during stop mode.

÷The main menu screen will be displayed.

÷The menu screen for a CD or Video CD will differ from the one shown on the right.

Select settings in SETUP of the main menu screen on the right.

÷After settings have been changed, to return all modes to their initial settings, set the power to the standby mode, and, while pressing and holding the main unit’s STOP button, press the STANDBY/ON switch. “Picture quality/Tone setup”, Condition Memory”, “Last Memory” and the code number of "Parental level" settings will also be erased.

INITIAL SETUP

OSD SET., SCREEEN SAVER, B.G. COLOR, PARENTAL, DVD LANG., LANG SET., and ASPECT setup is possible.

÷In each setting explanation, the setup mode first explained is the initial factory setting. (* is marked.)

1. OSD SET.

1. DISPLAY:

Operation displays (play, stop etc.) can be displayed or not displayed by selecting

 

ON or OFF.

 

Settings: ON* (Operation displays appear.)

 

OFF (Operation displays do not appear.)

2. POSITION:

When watching conventional software on a wide screen TV, the operation display

 

is right at the top of the screen, and you may not be able to see it at all. Changing

 

the position of the display lets you see operation indications clearly even on a wide

 

TV screen.

 

Settings: NORMAL* (When using a conventional (4:3) TV)

 

WIDE (When using a wide screen TV (not for menu displays))

3.LANGUAGE: This setting is used to display operation indicators and menu screens is the setup to switch the language you desire.

Settings: English*

Select the language you desire with the direction buttons and press the ENTER button.

4.ANGLE MARK: When a picture that is recorded in different angles is played back, will be displayed.

This setting lets you see clearly whether the playback picture is recorded with angles or not.

Settings: ON* ( is displayed.)

OFF (Not displayed.)
