Selecting a Subtitle Language

You can select a desired subtitle language with DVDs that

have subtitle data in multiple languages recorded on them.

Note

The subtitle language can not be switched if the subtitle language is not recorded, or if only one language is recorded.

Switching the subtitle language may not be possible with some

discs. In this case, the mark will be displayed.

Tips

To clear subtitles during playback, press CLEAR button after first pressing SUBTITLE button. You can also clear subtitles by selecting OFF in the subtitle menu display.

Subtitles can be cleared by selecting LANG SET from the INITIAL menu, and setting SUBTITLE to “OFF” (refer to page 33).

For some discs, selection can be made using the menu.

In this case press the MENU button while the indicator is displayed, display the menu screen and make your selection.

Tips

You can use the Multi-Angle function only with discs featuring recordings of images shot from different camera angles.

During Multi-Angle playback, the Angle indicator on the player lights.

For some discs, selection can be made using the menu.

In this case press the MENU button while the indicator is displayed to display the menu screen and then make your selection.
