Changing Settings

6. LANG SET.

1. AUDIO:

The audio language that you normally listen to can be selected from the various audio

 

languages on a disc. Even when the audio language is changed during playback, the

 

language selected at this setting will be selected when the disc is replaced.

 

Settings: English*

 

Select a language from the 136 different languages.

÷Select the basic audio with the direction buttons 2/3on the remote control unit.

÷Press ENTER button to display the code input screen. Referring to the input codes (high order, low order) on the following language code list (Page 58), use the remote control’s number buttons (For selection of numbers above 10, use the +10 button) to select the number that corresponds to the language that you want to select.

2.SUBTITLE: The subtitle language that you will normally display can be selected from the subtitles on a disc. Even when the subtitle language is changed during playback, the language selected at this setting will be selected when the disc is replaced.

÷Press ENTER button to display the code input screen. Select the basic subtitle with the direction buttons 2/3 on the remote control unit.

÷Referring to the input codes (high order, low order) on the following language code list (Page 58), use the remote control’s number buttons (For selection of numbers above 10, use the +10 button) to select the number that corresponds to the language that you want to select.

÷After selecting this display with the remote control’s direction buttons 5/, display ON and display OFF can be selected with the remote control’s direction buttons 2/3.

÷Some discs provide subtitles offering explanations of scenes for those who are hard of hearing.

Switching “ASS. SUBTIT” ON assures these subtitles are displayed from the beginning.

3. AUTO LANG.:

Settings: ON* (For general overseas movies, original audio with your local subtitles will be selected, and for domestic movies, original audio with no subtitles will be selected.)

OFF (Basic audio, basic subtitle setting.)

If the selected audio language and the subtitle language are not the same, if the subtitle display is set to OFF, or if the ASS. SUBTIT is set to ON, the AUTO LANG function dose not operate.

4.SUBT. OFF: The subtitle which is displayed by discs can be selected, when the subtitle is set to “OFF”.

Settings: SEL SUBTL*(The selected subtitle language will be selected.) WITH AUDIO (The selected audio language will be selected.)
