Chapter 8: Advanced features

Media Renderer

1 Y> PREFERENCES > Media Renderer Setup

>OK .

2 Press B or b to highlight Media Renderer. Press C or c to select On or Off.

Device Name Setup

The device name as a DMR can be changed. The set device name can be confirmed from the DMC.

1 Y> PREFERENCES > Media Renderer Setup

>OK .

2 Press B or b to select Device Name Setup. Press

OK .

3 Select the Device Name field. Press OK . The Software Keyboard screen appears.

4 Input the Device Name by using the Software Keyboard (- p. 65). To save your setting, press the BLUE button.

Note: The Device Name can be up to 127 characters long.

5 Select Done. Press OK .

Web Password Setup

This setup sets a necessary password for the DMC's accessing a built-in Web page of a DMR.

1 Y> PREFERENCES > Media Renderer Setup

> OK .

2 Press B or b to select Web Password Setup. Press

OK .

3 Select the Password field. Press OK . The Software Keyboard screen appears.

4 Change the password by using the Software Keyboard (- p. 65). Press the BLUE button.

Note:

The Web Password can be up to 15 characters long.

Only the password can be changed. User ID cannot be changed.

5 Select Done. Press OK .

Note:

Some DMC can view or modify the device name of the DMR.

Depending on the TV's state, the device name may not be set from Web page.

Confirm the DMCs instruction manual for the way of accessing Web pages.

Media Controller Setup

You can limit which DMC can control this TV.

If Access Control is enabled, only those DMCs with a check will be allowed to control the TV.

1 Y> PREFERENCES > Media Renderer Setup

>OK .

2 Press B or b to select Media Controller Setup. Press OK .

3 Press B or b to highlight Access Control. Press C or c to select On.

4 Press B or b to select Select Media Controller. Press OK .

5 Press B or b to select the item you want to accept. Press OK .

The box is selected. To clear the selection, press OK .

6 Press c to select Done. Press OK .

Note:

You can select up to 8 DMC devices.

If you would not like to limit the DMCs for this TV, set Access Control to Off.

Devices other than DMC may be displayed in the list. Confirm the MAC address of DMC and set it.

Maximum Volume Setup

This feature allows you to set the maximum volume of the TV when it receives volume operation commands from a DMC.

1 Y> PREFERENCES > Media Renderer Setup

>OK .

2 Press B or bto highlight Maximum Volume Setup. Press C or c to adjust to the desired volume.

Note:

The TV's remote control can set volume regardless of the value of Maximum Volume Setup.

When DMR playback is ended, the TV volume will return to the value in effect when DMR playback was started.
