Press V to select Programme Timers, and then press Q.

Using the TV’s features (General)

2 Press Y or Z to select On or Off.

Note:

When Panel Lock is On, a reminder will appear when the buttons on the TV are pressed. If the standby button is pressed, the TV will switch off and can only be brought out of standby by using the remote control.

The timers

Programme Timers - digital only -

This feature will set the TV to go to a specific channel at a certain time. It can be used to view a particular programme, or by setting the mode to daily or weekly, can be used to view a series of programmes.

1 Press M, then press Y or Z to display the TIMERS menu.

3 Press V if necessary to select an open timer position, and then press Q. The SET TIMER menu will now appear on screen.

4 Press V or U to go through the list adding the details of the programme by using the number buttons and Y or Z to make selections.

5 When all the details have been entered, press Qto save the timer.

The Digital TV timer indicator (- page 8) will appear orange.

When the programme timer activates, the indicator will change from orange to red.

Note:

When a timed programme is about to start, an information screen will appear offering the option of watching or cancelling the timer. The menus and other channels will not be available during the timed programme unless the programme timer is cancelled. Programme timers are not performed when the TV is turned off with the ! POWER switch.

Setting the Sleep Timer

The Sleep Timer is especially useful if you want the TV to turn itself off after a selected period of time.

1 Press M, and then press Y or Z to display the TIMERS menu.

2 Press V or U to select Sleep Timer.

3 Press Number buttons (0-9) to set the time period to turn off the TV. Alternatively, press Y or Z to set the time period. The timer display will set in blocks of 10 minutes to 12 hours and 50 minutes.

4 Press Pto start the timer.

Confirming Software Version

This feature can be used to check the version of software currently installed.

1 Press M, and then press Y or Z to display the SETUP menu

2 Press V or U until System Information is selected.
