11.3Transferring photos to your Gmini 400

To transfer pictures from your digital camera directly into the Gmini 400, you will insert your digital camera’s Compact Flash™ card* into the slot on the left side of the Gmini 400. Open up the door to the slot by unlatching the center clasp with your thumbnail.

*Attention: In order to protect the delicate pins in the CF card slot, the door to the slot only opens far enough to allow the CF card to enter. Do not force it to open further than shown in the photo here.

Slide the card in with its front side facing the back of the Gmini 400.

When you insert the card, the Gmini 400 will recognize it and open up two browser windows. The left window will show the contents of your CompactFlash™ (CF) card* and the right window will show the contents of your Gmini 400’s hard drive. Navigate to the folder on your CF card which contains your photos (in this example /DCIM/113CANON). Move to the right window (click the right button) and navigate to the folder you would like to save your photos to (you can create a new folder if you need to by clicking on the right window’s Folder (f3) button).
