FRONT POSN (position)
Calculate the approximate distance between your seating position and your front speakers.
Highlight the 5FT/1.5M option, then use the key on the front panel or handset to increase the distance shown (up to 30FT/9.2M).
Select the appropriate distance by pressing ‘enter’ on the front panel or handset.
CENTRE POSN (position)
Calculate the approximate distance between your seating position and your centre speaker.
Highlight the 5FT/1.5M option, then use the key on the front panel or handset to increase the distance shown (up to 30FT/9.2M).
Select the appropriate distance by pressing ‘enter’ on the front panel or handset.
REAR POSN (position)
Calculate the approximate distance between your viewing position and your rear speakers.
Highlight the 5FT/1.5M option, then use the key on the front panel or handset to increase the distance shown (up to 30FT/9.2M).
Select the appropriate distance by pressing ‘enter’ on the front panel or handset.
NOTES:
If you only use front speakers the above menus will not be available.
It is not necessary to add time delay to a subwoofer.
TEST TONE
When set to ON, a tone signal is sent to all speakers (except a subwoofer) starting with the front left and moving in a clockwise direction. The front panel display shows all possible speakers with the highlighted speaker indicating the current position of the tone.
The test tone has two functions:
Testing speaker connections
If a speaker has not been connected correctly, the tone will either not be heard or will jump to a speaker out of the clockwise sequence (meaning a speaker has been connected to the wrong outputs on the Classik Movie System). This feature is not available for the subwoofer.
Speaker volume trim
This feature can be used to ensure the volume level that reaches your seating position is the same for each speaker (for subwoofer adjustment- see Subwoofer trim adjustment in Operating Preamplifier chapter).
To perform volume trim:
●Set TEST TONE to ON. The test tone display appears on the Classik Movie System’s front panel.
●Wait for the test tone to reach the speaker you wish to adjust.
●Repeatedly press or hold / on the handset to trim the volume as required.* Volume trim range is
A few seconds after the / key has been released, the test tone will continue its clockwise direction.
* You can do this by ear or by using a Sound Pressure Level meter.
